I'm diabetic was also was denied. Can I still be rated for non-service connected disability? How can reopen my claim?

A1:  YES!! VA says if you as a veteran reach 65 you are considered totally disabled. That means a veteran is entitled to a nsc disability pension.  (PD)  7/15/19

A2:  First question when did you serve in the military, 2nd question did you serve in Vietnam, you might be eligible for non-service connected pension depending on your income. Another question was you treated for diabetes in service?  (GR)  7/15/19

A3:  If you are a Vietnam Veteran, your Diabetes is covered as Service Connected due to AO. If not, you'll need to prove your diabetes was cause by the service. Good Luck.  (JL)  7/16/19
