The Battleship New Jersey will honor veterans with a ceremony on the forecastle (forward deck) on Veterans Day, November 11, 2019, at 11:00 a.m.  This free ceremony will feature keynote speaker Bruce Heilman, a WWII Marine veteran and National Spokesman for The Greatest Generation Foundation. Capt. Walt Urban, USN (ret), the Battleship’s Military Liaison Officer and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, will serve as MC. The ceremony will end with the casting of a memorial wreath upon the Delaware River to remember all veterans who have passed.

Veterans may tour the New Jersey on Veterans Day for any donation amount. Just check in at the Battleship’s Ticket Office for a Fire Power self-guided tour for whatever donation you can make. Tours will be available from 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

An afternoon march and ceremony honoring America’s veterans highlights the day.
