Free Auto Check
Goodyear Auto Service and Just Tires locations nationwide are showing thanks and appreciation to those who serve by offering all active duty service members, retired military members, and veterans a free “Checks for Vets,” plus up to $250 off tires. This freebie and savings are in effect Friday, November 9-11, 2018. “Checks for Vets” includes free tire, brake and battery checks. Veterans will also receive 10% off tires instantly, which means $250 in savings when used with additional offers in-store. Goodyear Auto Service and Just Tires are also extending a “check” of a different kind by donating up to $10,000 to Folds of Honor. Folds of Honor will receive $5 for every veteran or first responder who redeems the “Checks for Vets” offer.

Free Dental Care

On Monday, November 12, 2018. from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., veterans can receive free dental care at My Community Dental Centers on Courthouse Drive in Charlotte, Michigan. Treatments will be done on a first come, first served basis by pre-registering at 1-877-313-6232.  Veterans must show a valid Veteran ID Card, DD Form 214, or other proof of Honorable military service.  My Community Dental Center is located at 623 Courthouse Dr., Charlotte, Michigan.

Free Legal Advise
A free veteran’s legal clinic will be open in Midland, Texas on November 5, 2018.  The clinic will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, 212 N. Main St., Ste. #101. Midland, Texas.  Low income, disabled, unemployed and homeless veterans will be able to meet with attorneys from Texas Lawyers for Texas Veterans.  The attorneys will be able to provide free legal advice for up to 25 minutes depending on each case.  Veterans are required to bring DD Form 214 or their Veterans ID Card.  Appointments are required. Free Park Entrance
As part of the Wyoming Division of State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails “Parks for Patriots” programming which honors military veterans, day use/entrance fees will be waived for military veterans on November 11, 2018.  All veterans with proof of veteran status (Veteran ID Card, letter from VA, etc.) can enter any Wyoming State Park or Historic Site free of charge. This applies to day-use fees only. All other fees, such as overnight camping, must still be paid.  The program does not include active duty military personnel. Free Rides
GRTC will offer free rides to veterans on Sunday, November 11, in honor of Veterans Day.  Any veteran with proof of military service or Veteran ID Card can ride free all day long on Veterans Day. CARE veteran customers may also receive a free ride on CARE when scheduling and by showing proof of veterans’ status.

    

The Greenville City Council voted unanimously Monday on a measure that would allow them to transport disabled veterans to and from the health care center. Greenville Area Transit (GREAT) will provide the service. Greenville Mayor P.J. Connelly said the cost would be around $5,000 and would be a way to give back to those who served our country. Veterans would show their veteran ID card to ride the bus.

    

To honor area veterans, the Luzerne County Transportation Authority will once again offer free rides on its fixed route buses and present commemorative pins to all active duty military and all veterans Monday, November 12, 2018.  Veterans should show the bus driver their military ID card; VA medical card, Veteran ID Card or Certificate of Discharge. They will then receive their commemorative pin, which will serve as their “bus ticket” for the entire day.
